Lola Astanova is a fantastic pianist! I've never seen her live, but enjoyed many YouTube videos of her virtuosity. Making it to the Carnegie Hall is indeed an accomplishment.

I'm giving this production 5 stars, because no one else comes close to the quality of Cirque du Soleil. Their productions generally vary from good to amazing (with only one exception years ago being Wintuk, which was a weird anomaly).

Having said the above as my general impression, I must admit I've seen stronger, more creative and more memorable shows by Cirque du Soleil than Totem. It is a 2:30 hour event with a 30 min intermission. The first half was pretty much flawless, while the second had a bit of unnecessary fluff.

All in all, I would still highly recommend Totem!
