Cornelia Parker is a female artist known for installations that raise the notion of transience as displayed in her work “Cold Dark Matter”. In the year 1991 her creation “An Exploded View” showcases charred remains of a garden shed which was destroyed by the British army. She also suspended the fragments from single light bulb which threw light from the ceiling. Her main objective in her work is to show the extraordinary from ordinary situations or subjects. She loves using used or disposed objects and change its meaning and of its existence totally. Parker even joined hands with British actress Tilda Swinton, who modeled for her by sleeping inside a glass vitrine at The Serpentine Gallery for a great master piece called “The Maybe” which was created in the year 1995.
