I attended their performance in Harker school in San Jose (where they performed with a group of students). The first half of the program was devoted to improv games. The second half was an improvised musical based on audience suggestion.

The first part was actually pretty good. Perhaps a bit prolonged on some of the games, but mostly due to giving all the students a chance to take part, which is understandable.

The second part was unfortunately a flop. I think it had everything to do with a poor selection of of the musical subject: Presidents on Jeopardy. It wasn't funny. Perhaps "Baby Wants Candy" is actually a great improv group, but I had no opportunity to witness that for myself.

I drove out from near Chicago to sing along with nine California relatives in the Point Reyes Station Sing-Along Messiah. Dan Mankin put together a joyful afternoon. Molly McGuire led the audience in a wonderfully rendered effort. In an inspired moment she requested the audience to also sing the solo parts. We all had a great time doing our best to honor the music of one of our more revered composers.

Anyone would enjoy participating under Molly's direction. She also sings as a performer, and several times I noticed she couldn't help singing along, too. Thanks to all for the fine effort in making this marvelous event happen again this year. The children were well-mannered and the refreshments were tasty.
