Joe Klocek is a square peg in a round hole sort of guy. Joe does two things great- tells stories and talks to the crowd. He started in stand-up comedy because his girlfriend broke up with him. At the time, he was crushed. But, every time he talked to anyone about it, they would laugh. His pain came out as funny to everyone else. Before long he tried an open mic and was hooked on comedy. The Illinois native, now San Francisco resident, was raised very religious and his mother expected his to become a priest. And, Joe believes he probably would have if he hadn't discovered girls at age 13. Joe says "I was a pretty regular comic for years talking about the same stuff everyone else did. But, I grew up and started caring about stuff, so my comedy became more socially aware."
