The Oakland Art Murmur encourages you to discover and explore its cultural and visual art collections at its monthly First Friday events, open to the public and free of charge. The murmur showcases an assortment of artwork in over fifteen art spaces that welcome guests with a reception usually accompanied by the gallery's displaying artists. What began as an endeavor to promote the arts, the Art Murmur has now flourished into a popular community art walk that draws crowds from all over the bay. The Oakland art murmur takes place on the first Friday of each month from 6-9 pm at 23rd and Telegraph and 7-10 pm in outlying locations.
