An actress (played by a man) schemes to woo back her estranged female lover by playing Orlando opposite her lovers’ Rosalind in this gender-bending romp by one of New York's most innovative writer/performers.
This is very amateurish and is a pain to sit and watch the program for 80 long minutes. Since there is no interval in between the audience are made to sit and not go out. A waste of money.
“She Stoops to Comedy” is a meta theatrics under the direction of Mark Rucker. This play is an added winner for the SF Play house. During the preview of the play there was still some finishing to be done but it is very beautifully executed and played by the cast. If the lighting around the characters were modified when they comment on action in their monologue then it will be understandable that they are breaking the 4th wall. The Gay man of different age played by the character Simon makes one think and the act by Amy Resnick who plays the conservation of two character artists is worth the money. An all round successful play.
