Ruby reds and golds, nine imported chandeliers, a bevy of beveled mirrors, deep velvet booths and hundreds of yards of luscious ruby red, gold, and teal Scalamandre damask as well as crimson hand-rubbed silk drapery give the completely new room an air of elegance you might find at Maxim's in Paris or an opera house in Vienna. Which is just what designer Arthur Valdez had in mind when he and Harry pulled out all the stops, from the Axminster carpet from London to the art nouveau handle on the ladies' room door. In Harry's trademark style, even the ladies' powder room is straight out of a stylish 1930s movie.
